My Services
The foundation of my approach is psychotherapy. When appropriate, we may consider medication. I prescribe judiciously, and only when indicated. I also may incorporate herbal and non-pharmaceutical interventions. I welcome collaborating with other members of your treatment team to make sure we are addressing your concerns in a holistic manner.
I do see patients for medication-management only, the only requirement is that you are seeing someone for therapy as well.
When and Where***
Therapy sessions are 50 minutes. Depending on your case we will determine the frequency.
Initial intake sessions may be longer and at times will require more than one appointment.
I believe that the most meaningful, effective therapy is done in-person. I know this is not possible for everyone. In these cases, I can offer flexibility regarding telehealth.
While I do not accept insurance outside of Medicare, I am more than happy to provide you with a bill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Most insurers fully or partially cover out-of-network providers. Scroll down to learn more about how to determine your benefits.
80-minute intake appointment is $550
50-minute follow-up appointments are $400
20-minute medication management follow-up appointments are $225
I accept credit and debit cards, Zelle, and Venmo.
Cost of Care
How to determine your insurance benefits
Call your insurance company. You can find their contact information on the back of your insurance card or on their website. Ask the following questions:
Does my plan include out-of-network benefits for an outpatient psychiatrist/pscychotherapist?
How many covered visits do I have annually?
Do I have a deductible? If so, how much do I need to pay before getting reimbursed for out-of-pocket services?
Determine the specifics of reimbursements. Inquire how much your plan will reimburse you for the following services:
For intakes: 90792 or 99205 + 99417
For follow-ups: 99214 +/- (90833 or 90836)
I will provide you a superbill that details all of the services of each appointment along with the billing codes that insurances use which you can submit to your insurance company.
Good Faith Estimate
The “No Surprises Act” is a federal law that was created to protect out-of-network or uninsured patients from unexpected medical bills, therefore allowing you to plan out your mental healthcare expenses. The law requires me to offer a Good Faith Estimate outlining anticipated charges for scheduled or requested services.
My services include psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy, and my current fees are outlined above. Keep in mind that the required number of sessions and overall cost of care will vary depending on a variety of factors, including your treatment goals, an agreed-upon frequency of scheduled visits, and your individual needs. The Good Faith Estimate is not a contractual agreement, nor does it promise a specific treatment outcome.
If the actual charges for services rendered exceed this Good Faith Estimate by $400 or more, you have the right to dispute the bill.
If this were to happen, first contact me directly to discuss the discrepancy and the appropriate changes. You also have the right to contact the US Department of Health and Human Services and initiate a dispute. To do so, you need to do so within 120 days of receiving the original bill. For more information or to initiate a dispute, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-368-1019.
